Along the sacred Arunachala Girivalapath in Tiruvannamalai, countless Sadhus, Sanyasis, Sivanadiyargal and pilgrims undertake their spiritual journey with devotion. Many Sadhus dedicate their lives to prayer, meditation and spiritual practice, depending on the generosity of devotees for their daily meals. 63 Nayanars Charitable Trust is committed to continuing the noble tradition of Annadhanam by providing food to Sadhus and pilgrims. Through this campaign, we invite devotees and well-wishers to support our daily food service and help ensure that no one goes hungry. Your contribution will help meet the expenses of preparing and serving nourishing meals to those who visit and reside around Arunachala. Whether you sponsor meals for 10 or 200 people, every offering becomes a meaningful act of compassion. At the sacred feet of Lord Arunachaleswarar, let us come together to continue this tradition of Annadhanam. Anna Dhanam Maha Dhanam. Om Namah Shivaya!
Tiruvannamalai is one of the most revered spiritual destinations in Tamil Nadu, known for the sacred Arunachaleswarar Temple and the holy Arunachala Hill, worshipped as the very form of Lord Shiva. Devotees from across India visit this sacred land throughout the year to offer prayers and seek divine grace. One of the most cherished traditions here is Girivalam, the 14-kilometre circumambulation of Arunachala. On every Pournami, thousands of devotees undertake this sacred journey, while Sadhus and spiritual seekers continue their prayers and meditation around the hill. Annadhanam plays an important role in supporting these devotees and spiritual seekers by providing food to those who need it.
Annadhanam, the offering of food to others, is regarded as one of the highest forms of charity in Hindu tradition. Food is a basic necessity, and providing a nourishing meal to someone in need is an act of kindness that brings comfort and dignity. Along the Arunachala Girivalapath, many Sadhus and Sanyasis spend their lives in spiritual practice, often depending on the support of devotees for their daily nourishment. By supporting Annadhanam, we can help care for these spiritual seekers and pilgrims while preserving the age-old tradition of sharing food with compassion. Anna Dhanam Maha Dhanam.
63 Nayanars Charitable Trust, based in Tiruvannamalai, is dedicated to charitable service and the tradition of Annadhanam. Recognising the needs of Sadhus, Sivanadiyargal, pilgrims and devotees, the trust strives to provide daily food service and extend support to those who visit this sacred land. Continuing Annadhanam requires regular resources for groceries, vegetables, cooking materials, preparation and distribution. With the support of devotees and well-wishers, the trust aims to sustain this service and reach more people in need.
Daily Annadhanam is a continuous responsibility. Every day, food needs to be prepared and served with care to support Sadhus and pilgrims. Your contribution will help 63 Nayanars Charitable Trust meet the expenses involved in preparing and distributing meals. You can participate by sponsoring Annadhanam for 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 Sadhus and pilgrims. Every sponsorship, regardless of its size, helps strengthen this charitable initiative and keeps the service going throughout the year.
In Hindu tradition, feeding Sadhus and spiritual seekers is considered a meritorious act of service. Those who have dedicated their lives to prayer, meditation and devotion often depend on the kindness of others for their daily needs. Offering food to them is a way of expressing gratitude, humility and compassion. At the sacred Arunachala, where devotees seek the blessings of Lord Arunachaleswarar, participating in Annadhanam is a beautiful way to express one's devotion through selfless service. The blessings of Annadhanam are shared by both the person who gives and the person who receives.
A single meal can provide nourishment and comfort to someone who needs it. Your support can help ensure that Sadhus and pilgrims visiting Arunachala receive food with dignity and care. Whether you sponsor 10 meals or 200 meals, your participation helps 63 Nayanars Charitable Trust continue its daily Annadhanam service. Let us join hands to serve those who walk the sacred path of Arunachala and keep the tradition of food charity alive. May Lord Arunachaleswarar bless you and your family with peace, good health and prosperity. Om Namah Shivaya!
